Quantum Forum for DXi V5000

How can i restore my vm's to a different vcenter server? I've updated the vm.cfg in the backup folder but i'm still getting an error. (see attached file)

If you want to restore to a different vCenter than the one you are currently connected to, you have a few options. First is that you could update the configuration on your existing vmPRO to connect to your different vCenter and then run the Recover VMs wizard.

Second is that you could deploy a fresh copy of vmPRO and connect it to you different vCenter, but then setup the storage settings in your fresh vmPRO to share the same storage/NAS share as your existing appliance -- it would then be able to recover any of those backups.

Third is that if you are backing up to an NFS share, you could present that NFS share to the ESX hosts in your different vCenter and have them retrieve VM backups directly from the storage device by adding the VMs .vmx file back in to inventory and then migrating it to a primary Datastore:

I've not expected it to be so easy.
