It's been a while since I tried to link to pages in PDFs, but at the time, the only way to do it was to put the PDF on a web server and use the URL + #page=x syntax you've mentioned already. I've tried to create the PDF three different ways. 1. I used Adobe Acrobat Pro but it would not support the PDF conversion from PowerPoint. 2. In PowerPoint I did "save as PDF." 3.
