Quantum Forum for DXi V5000

Last year, we ran into an issue on our newer Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2 machine builds in which we were not able to access the VMPro \recover\ drive (or any other share, for that matter) either from Run or by mapping the network location.  This began happening after we implemented recommendations from the Center for Internet Security's Windows 7 Benchmarks.  We have no problem accessing the VMPro shares from older Windows XP machines, or Windows 7 machines without the CIS Benchmarks applied.  Clearly, one or more of the recommendations are hosing our ability to access these shares.  This isn't a big deal at the moment, and certainly isn't the fault of Quantum, I just wanted to make the community aware of the situation in case anyone else is seeing something like this.  The next time we create a build, I will try to access the shares at various points through applying the settings to see if I can determine what setting(s) exactly is causing this behavior.

I'll post an updates when I get further information.
Good day!

After much testing, we finally found the Group Policy setting at fault.

Recommendation 1.9.27 - Microsoft Network Client: Digitally Sign Communications (always) MUST be set to "Disabled" in order to properly browse the \recover\ share on the VMPro from a Windows 7 machine.

This setting is accessible from the Local Computer Policy by editing Computer Configuration/Windows Settings/Security Settings/Local Policies/Security Options/Microsoft Network Client: Digitally Sign Communications (always).
