Quantum Forum for DXi V5000

I'm try to backup some VM, first addressing vCenter server, then the single ESXi server.

The configuration seems ok, but when I try to backup I've this error:

Error in copying file '/export/grvm04.superbeton.gruppogrigolin/SBFW02/sg_engine_64bit_01-flat.vmdk': grvm04.superbeton.gruppogrigolin: [datastore1] sg_engine_64bit_01/sg_engine_64bit_01.vmdk: Input/output error: Unknown error (1): 11:58:20: VixDiskLibVimResolveHostName: Failed to resolve IP address, error - -3. 11:58:20: VixDiskLibVim_GetNfcTicket: Unable to resolve ip address for 'grvm04.superbeton.gruppogrigolin'. : Input/output error. Return code: 5

The same for every VM.

From the appliance console, I can ping the failed host, so I can't imagine why it's not working

Thanks for any help

Has it ever worked? Or never worked? (i.e. is this a new problem on a previously working system)?

Is this a paid copy of ESXi? Some of the older ESXi free versions didn't include the proper API support, though that should generate a different error message I thought.

Also, this may sound strange, but are all of your VM's and ESXi itself using NTP to synchronize the time? We've seen really weird behavior when clocks were manually set within VM's and were off compared to the host. I'm not saying that VM's can use a different time zone, just use NTP to ensure that everything is in sync with a common reference.

First install.

First try with all VM powered off - failed.

Then I tryed to power on and I'm now running firt backup, already ended for some VM.

Thanks anyway
