Quantum Forum for DXi V5000

Hi,

After upgrading to version 4.9.2 I have a message that I need to increase memory to be able to run VDMS and integrate with Veeam. However after I increase the memory to the virtual machine, when i turn on the VM it never came UP, I can even load the management portal in any Browser.

Is there any specific Path to follow to increase memory or what should I do? I

Hi Chris,

What hypervisor do you use?

Did you wait for the upgrade to finish? It takes more then 30 minutes.

Andrei

Hello Andrei,

I am using ESXi 7. And yes I waited a lot more than 30min.

Hi Chris,

I found out the procedure to increase the memory. Shutdown the VM and return to the previous ammount of RAM if you don't have the ServiceLogin account active. After you have the same ammount of memory you will have access to the web interface. Go to System-.Security->System Users and activate ServiLogin acount and set a password. Start the VM.

Now that you have ServiceLogin account active when the VM is starting you can login into the Console (I'm talking about the VM console). After the VM is starting you will receive a message that the memory capacity is changed and you have to choose what to do with it. Assign it to the OS (I assume you have a community licence) and the system will start settign this up.

Now you have access to the web console again.

Good luck,

Andrei
