Quantum Forum for DXi V5000
i500 scalar & windows 2012 NB media server - query
We are trying to replace our physical NB media server (windows 2008 SP2) with another physical NB media server (windows 2012), but
the new server will not connect to the Scalar i500 tape robot…the sole reason for it being physical.
My colleague has zoned the virtual fabric and the Scalar sees the new address, but server will not recognise the drives.
Is there any incompatibility between Windows 2012 and a Scalar i500 to your knowledge?

Not to my knowledge, but Quantum's small library team would be better equipped to answer your question and provide the correct drivers for the tape drives if needed. You can call 1-800-284-5101 and provide the SN# of the i500. A case will be created and sent over to the small libraries team.
