Exclude disks from VM backup in vmPRO

Any way to do this? I can do it in Veeam, but can't see how to achieve this with vmPRO.

You can achieve this by setting the disk as Independent in the VMs settings. That way the disk is not included in snapshots.

ah, good idea, thanks. Unfortunately looks like our problems capturing all the others vdisks are still present for 3.1.2.

It looks like even though vmPro recognizes that the disk will be excluded, it's size still included in the space total.

Hello RDC,

This feature is not yet supported by vmPro even at the 3.1.2 level. However a request for enhancement has been created to address the need for this feature. Hopefully the ability to pick which disk on a VM you would like to backup/restore will become available in a further software release.

This would be rather important to have, especially when you are charging by size!
