DXi V1000 Replication throttle

Hi all,

I have 2 DXi V1000 replicating a share in "file/directory" based mode between 2 european countries.

It does work pretty well.

I just have a problem with the Replication throttle which doesn't seem to work.

It is a global one (not schedules), set at a 512 KB/s (means 4 Mb/s) value and here is the WAN consumption :

May you have an idea about this ?

Hi Nicolas,

There are only three things I have seen that can cause this.

1st. Having the global replication throttle enabled and having the schedule replication enabled, the scheduled throttle will overwrite the global throttle.

2nd. Old firmware, specifically 2.1.3 and below.

3rd. 10/100 base NIC cards. If the NIC card is not at least 1 GB, the DXI is unable to use the throttle settings correctly.

Thanks for your answers. Here are my comments :

1/ I was aware about this so I checked and only system throttling is enabled, No schedules

2/ I think I have the last one : Quantum DXiV1000 2.3.0.3 (11449-53631 Build304)

3/ He he, quite a good idea : I have to check on the foreign site. I'll keep you in touch
