Hello,
I'm trying out the dxi v1000 but I can't seem to create an NFS share with deduplication enabled. The creation page has the option selected and read only, but when I go ahead and create the share is appears with deduplication disabled.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Andre

Interesting.
Do you also have CIFS shares enabled?
Or any OST LSU's defined?
The V1000 is intended to be a single protocol at a time. However, what you are describing is a bit odd.
Ok... I see what is probably causing the issue. I checked out the license status page and I see that NAS and Storage Capacity keys are installed but Data Deduplication, Replication and OST are not. This probably isn't normal, right?
All I did was upload the renamed license.conf that I received via email. Should I request a new license bundle?
Thanks,
Andre
Ok... uploaded the license file a second time and everything is now installed.
Thanks,
Andre
Glad that fixed the problem, though that's also VERY unusual that the license key file didn't properly load.
In DXi V1000 version 2.1 (what you have), the license key file should be named "licensebundle.conf" and can be loaded as many times as you like (really, normally only once).
The next V1000 will not use a license key file, but will get all license information from a centralized license server.
Glad to know that everything is working for you.
