Hello

I am able to restore the Linux VM without an issue ; However when opt for File level Restore

I have mounted the VMPRO via NFS as given by User Guide

Can not see individual files for Linux VM but can do for a Windows VM in the same Environment

You should be able to restore files from either.

Via the vmPRO gui, go to Help-->vnPRO system.

Click on the recover_fs_files log then try a file level restore from the Linux VM. Check the log, it should give you a better idea why you are not able to see the files (I am guessing some type of permission issue).

Example of what you will see in the log:

It may also be due to this.

The vmPRO SmartView feature does not support the following:

•Windows dynamic disks that span multiple drives
•Windows dynamic disks that are striped
•Windows dynamic disks that use RAID
•Windows 2008 dynamic disks file level access
•volumes that span multiple virtual disks
•Solaris UFS file systems
•file systems on raw (un-partitioned disks)
•physical/logical LVM partitions that have been created on raw (un-partitioned) disks
•any file system types that are not explicitly listed as supported
