This has baffled me to no end.  How do you delete backup data after a virtual machine has finished backing up?  I have gone into \\vmpro\recover\files\storage\folder\vmfolder and \\vmpro\recover\images\storage\folder\vmfolder .  I am getting this error: Cannot delete file: Cannot read from the source file or disk.  Does this vmpro appliance not allow you to delete data?

Hello Josh,

The vmpro\recover\files or images folders are read only so you cannot delete data from there.

You can change the retention period in your backup policy and that will clear up older backups.

If you want to manually delete backups you would need to mount the CIFS or NFS share(s) that vmPro is pointed to and then delete backups from there.

Hope this helps,

Jerry
