Add Storage
Hello Guys,
i instaled Quantum DXiV1000 on a QNAP Storage and would like to test the dedup.
For the test i create a Partition(ntfs) on the qnap, but i dont know how to setup the quantum to check this partition for dedup files.
I cant download the manuals.
I need help

Hi Chris,
You can view the deduplication statistics via the DXi GUI from Home-Overview. They will be located in the Data Reduction Statistics section.
You can also navigate to Status-->Disk Usage

I created a NFS into my Storage called "quantum"
I would to Backup/dedup Files from this Directory.
How can i do this?
Which Settings i need to set?
Can anyone help me?

Hello Chris,
You need to install the DXi v1000 on to your virtual enviroment.
Then you need to use the DXi to create a NAS share (CIFS or NFS).
Then you need to configure your backup software to send data to the share that was created by the DXi v1000. As data is received the DXi v1000 will deduplicate it for you.
