Note: The word "volume" should be abbreviated to vol. and arabic numbers should be used for the volume number (p. 171). If the volume does not have an individual title and you are citing only one of them please refer to page 172 of the manual for Notes-Bibliography Style and page 239 for the Parenthetical Citations-Reference List Style. Chicago Author-Date requires that you document your sources with parenthetical references in the text of your paper. Full bibliographic details should also be included in a list of references at the end of the paper.
