Quantum Forum for DXi V5000

Hi,

I use a vmPRO free Appliance since a few years and am very happy with it. Since a few days, i see the warning "There are 33 corefiles present".
I red in another post that these files should be transmitted automatically to the support but as it's a free vmPRO intallation, i probably don't have this kind of support.
So, what should i do ? Reinstall the Appliance ? Anything else ?

TIA,
Yan

Hi Yan Benoist,

You should still be able to gather and upload the support bundle to mosaic.quantum.com and I believe this will clear out the core files from /var/cores. If you cannot upload the logs you should be able to at least gather the logs and download to your PC which would clear the cores as well.

However, in order to have the core files analyzed you would need a support contract. The core files may not necessary be related to anything vmPRO is doing as vmPRO in some cases will detect core files generated by the VMware code.

If the core files are causing performance issues then you may want to consider reinstalling vmPRO.

Hi Jerry,

Thank you for ur answer. Until now, theses files haven't had any consequence on the production. Happy to know that it's doesn't mean trouble...
But, i'll try to upload the files cause i prefer no to have the warning message.

Regards,
Yan
